What is a Christian?

A Christian is a child of God, a brother of Christ, a temple of the Holy Ghost, an heir of the kingdom, a companion of angels, a lord of the world, a partaker of the Divine Nature. The Christian's glory is Christ in heaven, and Christ's glory is the Christian on earth. He is a worthy child of God endued with Christ's righteousness, walking in holy fear and cheerful obedience before his Father, shining as a light in the world - a rose among thorns. He is a wonderfully beautiful creature of the grace of God, over which the holy angels rejoice, and is attended and ministered unto by them wherever he goes. He is a wonder to the world, a terror to the devils, an ornament to the church, a delight of heaven. His heart is full of pain, his eyes full of tears for a perishing world, his mouth full of sighs, and his hands full of good works.

Jesus

He was with God in the beginning. Nothing would be there without Him.

It is done. He is the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. To him who thirsts He will give of the fountain of the Water of Life freely.

He came to this earth, but His people did not receive Him. He is the true Light that shines in the darkness. Though this world came into being through Him, the world did not know Him.

But - hallelujah! - there are people who received Him, and they all have authority to become the children of God who can call God their Father. And the Father will give them anything they ask for in the name of His Son who died for this world - and yet they do not want to receive Him. Children of God are those who are born of God, not of the will of the flesh.

Jesus, full of glory, full of grace, full of truth, who gave us grace for grace that came through Him. He, Jesus, declared the father who nobody has ever seen.

Jesus, we are not worth to loosen the thong of Your sandal!

You are the Lamb of God! You took away the sin of this world! My sin. Thank you.

You baptised me with your Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, not just with water.

You are the Way.

You are the Truth.

Jesus Christ, Son of God, You are the true God, and the everlasting life.

Let me follow you.

Jesus, tell me, where do you live? Thank you for inviting me.

Ha! I found Christ. :-)

Come and visit Him with me. He can make a new creature out of you. You do not have to be good - He will change your heart, and He will repair it if it is broken. He can! All authority is given Him by the Father in Heaven, the Almighty and All-knowing God.

Come to Jesus, for he said, "Come to Me all you who labor and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke on you and learn from Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall find rest to your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light."

Jesus, you are the Son of God - his lamb, the King of Israel!

Now I can see Heaven open for us all, and all who have ears to listen and a heart to be filled, come with me and have a look!

Come to Him. He is waiting for you already...

Preach the Truth!

Many of the churches today may be more interested in having more members and preach that all are welcome than in saying the truth. So they are silent about all the things which unbelievers might find offensive. They have forgotten that unbelievers found Jesus Christ so offensive that they crucified Him. What they are doing now is ignoring the cross and preaching "tolerance" and "good works" INSTEAD.

Of course all are welcome with God, just as they are - if they come to Him and surrender, but not if they FIGHT him. I am not one of those who believes that Judas Ischariot can be found in Heaven later. He lost his mind on earth and could not live with his guilt anymore. So he committed suicide, he tried to get rid of his guilt by that... which is the worst thing people can do. He knew he was wrong and threw his reward away - but was obviously not forgiven. We know that the only sin that cannot be forgiven is the sin of blasphemy.

The churches should come back to what Jesus actually preached, and not what they themselves have places above the Word of God.

****What is meant by PEACE?****

The Gospel od Peace is often confused with the lack of arguments, fighting or war between people.
Jesus did not speak of this peace. Actually he said, "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me." (Matthew 10:34-37 KJV)
What? No peace on earth? It seems it will remain a longing of mankind, but it is simply not in our nature to keep peace, and, with regard to the Gospel, it is not even desired by God. We are called to stand up against the powers of darkness, even if we lose our lives doing so. Jesus said, "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it." (Matthew 10:39 KJV)
Peace between light and darkness is not meant by His peace, but the inner peace with Him after surrendering to Him, after repentance. That is why Jesus told the Disciples, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27 KJV)
Christians will always have to FIGHT against the powers of darkness until Jesus comes back. Some people have a big problem if they want to harmonise light and darkness by ignoring the darkness and accepting it as light. This will never work! This has never been meant!
Should we not seek peace with everybody? Of course we should, as long as this peace is up to us. But there will never be peace, and this has a reason:
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. (John 15:18-21 KJV)
Of course we should forgive our brothers and sisters if they repent. But Jesus never said we are to accept anyone who comes along and just calls himself a Christian. In fact we were warned by Paul to test the spirits and watch out for the wolves in sheep clothes, false Christian prophets and teachers.
"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1 KJV)
