Wise Words...

Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. - Jeremiah 17:7-8 KJV

For those who Share my Love for Old Bible Scripts: The Codex Sinaiticus

The Codex Sinaiticus Project is a project that puts the oldest hand-written Bible texts together online in digital form. The Codex Sinaiticus, as it is called, was written in the fourth century. It has been scanned in now and can be seen by everybody in the internet now, though it is not complete yet. The Codex Sinaiticus is the Bible in Greek, and it includes the complete New Testament in its first version.

You can find a list of the current release here. So far only the Gospel of Mark and a lot of Old Testament texts were scanned and added, but they say on the website that it will be completed in July 2009, and I am very much looking forward to that already.

I highly appreciate this project.

Occult Practices at Church, and Obama's Grin from a Book Shop Window

The tendency to include occult practices in the churches is growing and alarming. I think it is because people found a good market where they can offer meditation courses and the like, especially if they are combined with traveling. If Christians have to decide where to spend their vacations, they might prefer a Christian place where they can do such things together with brothers and sisters. Since the churches advertise for such travels, they are normally not aware that they engage themselves with occult practices, and not many people warn them. It does not even stop at the doors of my church, and I have no idea what to do about it. Many people are so blind. It is a very important job to warn Christians of the devil's traps, or the false teachers will gain more and more space and importance in our churches. The problem is if you warn them, they still want to remain blind, and regard you a trouble maker.

We have new little books for the lessons in the Bible study, for example, and I have read two articles in two little books that described meditations for one's concentration on the breath, and I was shocked. I warned the people in my Bible study group, but what else can I do? I do not think informing my Bible study group is enough. I would like to clear more people up about these things. Finally, Paul also warned the Corinthians of false teaching in their church, did he not?

When I went to the Bible study last time, I saw Obama's biography in the window of our book-shop, which is where everybody has to go along if he wants to join the service. Now Obama grinned at me from that window at that place that should be saved for Jesus Christ. I asked the book shop lady why she put that book there, and if she knew about his stand on abortions... No, she did not, but finally it was a good book, she said - so she must have read it! She could not even understand what I meant... I told her about life abortions and partial birth abortions and that Obama was to sign the FOCA, and what this means. But she said, she did not really know exactly. I told her that I did, but obviously she did not care. Obama is still grinning from behind the book shop. If it had been Dr. Martin Luther or some other Christian who was a servant of God... But the world and the devil always want to come into the churches and destroy the faith of the people from within. I told the lady that I would leave the church if Obama was to remain there. Finally, he is not the Messiah, and what does he have to do in window of a Christian book shop at a church. She did not care much. It is true, people do not react nicely if they are corrected as sharply as this, but it is not only about her but the whole congregation that is misled. Meanwhile there has been enough time for her to inform herself. But since she does not know much English, she will just go on praising Obama for his probably really well-written biography with no word of the practices of abortions in it. In fact, these abortions are so cruel that the lady from the book shop at my church could not even imagine them to be true, so she rejected my objections, and Obama is still grinning. The big plus that Obama has in my view is that he is black. I like the idea of a black American President. But that does not automatically make him a hero. I see his fruits in the form of dead babies left alone on tables to die a cruel death, and I think people who can accept that might also eat little children. Obama could do many things right now, but knowing about his fruits makes it impossible for me to accept him in a book shop window at my church. He should repent.

It probably takes more patience on my oart, but I think sometimes things have to happen faster... I wonder if the aborted babies who survived and are put on the metal table to die have the patience which many Christians have after prayer to change things to the better, for those babies will be the fruits. Not to speak of partial birth abortions now - they are so cruel that my breath is stuck when I just think of it. People, especially Christians, here in Germany feel insulted if I only tell them of the methods, and look away. They want to keep their perfect little lives perfect, and not disturbed by those kinds of cruelties, but they might have built their perfect houses on sand. They all want to see a hero of Obama at the moment, because that sells better. They have started to praise this man like Hitler when he promised them the same as Obama did to the Americans. They think he can change the unemployment and save or build up the economy. Hitler promised the same, was as charismatic, and as dangerous. Afterwards people said, "Oh, we did not know..." I do not understand... People in America even KNOW what he is planning to sign... But obviously their loyalty with their president is greater than their loyalty with babies that only promise a burden and costs.

The Father Drew Me Closer

I called on God in Heaven to release me while I did not know who that was, and I truly did not reckon with Jesus at all. "God", I said," I cannot live like that anymore. I need you to take over. Please come into my life and rescue me. "

People who do not know Jesus cannot call on His name Jesus. God drew me closer and closer, and then I recognised that God was the Christian God, and I trusted Him, and agreed I wanted to believe this weird story about Jesus, because I wanted to do God's will. And God had mercy on me, and introduced His Son to me.

"No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. '' (John 6:44 KJV)

"Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son" (Colossians 1:12-13 KJV)

"But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood" (Galatians 1:15-16 KJV)

We are Eagles....

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

(Isaiah 40:31 KJV)
