Do Christians Need to join a Church?

Some people say there is no need to join a Christian church, because they believe there are too many hypocrites in them. But what d they really know? How many churches might they have visited? All of them? Their claim that God's people could only be found outside of His Church is just nothing more than silly. The Lord Himself founded His Church, and they do not even have enough trust in God to believe that He will watch over it. There might be things that are not perfect, true, but He will perfect them when He is back. We are not perfect, nor is His Church yet, but we are all on our way to sanctification. But before this is possible, we must find out that we really do need a Savior, because we all fall short of God's glory, again and again, and there is nobody who is perfect already.

We need God, or we would be lost forever!
But He in His mercy makes it possible for us to be righteous, for He is our righteousness.

Did the Children of Israel Lose their Right as God's Elected People?

Those people who reject that the Children of Israel are not God's elected people ignore almost a whole chapter of the Bible (and much more, of course):
Romans 11:1-32 KJV

I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

(2) God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying, (3) Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. (4) But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

(5) Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according
to the election of grace.

(6) And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

(7) What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded (8) (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

(9) And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: (10) Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.

(11) I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

(12) Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? (13) For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: (14) If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. (15) For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

(16) For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the  branches.

(17) And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

(18) Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

(19) Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. (20) Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: (21) For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

(22) Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

(23) And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

(24) For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

(25) For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

(26) And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: (27) For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

(28) As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

(29) For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. (30) For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: (31) Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

(32) For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

*+*^+*^*+*^*+*^*+*^*+*

(26) And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: (27) For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

Now tell us why you think you know better than the Apostle Paul!

John the Baptist and Jesus Christ

John the Baptist told the people to repent and be baptised, and he announced Jesus Christ to come. Yes, Jesus made all things new, and he will make all things new when He comes back a second time. Throughout the Old and the New Testament God tells people to repent. So John the Baptists did not really do something new,and I have heard that baptisms were a common thing at that time, too, before John the Baptist.
What was new was that God spoke from heaven when Jesus was baptised, saying, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:17 KJV)
And that was the main difference between the two. Only one of them was God's Son, the Messiah that was expected (and still is by many). John the Baptist was to make the people be on the watch.
"John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." (John 1:15-17 KJV)
John the Baptist's job had been to call people for repentance of their sins, and that is what many did. But forgiveness was only possible through Jesus Christ, and He did not baptise with water but with fire. You know, water cleans, but fire cleans even more, completely, it makes everything pure, also from the cuss of the original sin of one man and one woman.
For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:21-22 KJV)

Jesus Christ, the lamb of God, finally overcame death forever, so everybody who believes in Him can have eternal life. John the Baptist was a prophet who prepared Jesus' way.

Do Christians have to keep the Sabbath?

Christians are not bound to keep the Sabbath, and they have agreed to celebrate the Sunday, the day when our Savior was resurrected, and death was overcome, so all who believe in Jesus Christ can have eternal life.
Jesus Christ healed on a Sabbath, and He explained that to those who accused Him of breaking the law...
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day. (Matthew 12:8 KJV)
And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath. (Mark 2:27-28 KJV)
Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath. The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed. He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk. Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk? And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place. Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee. The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole. And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day. (John 5:8-16 KJV)
I think Christians who insist on celebrating the Sabbath want to crucify Jesus again...
But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. (John 5:17-18 KJV)

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. (Colossians 2:16-17 KJV)
Facing all the Scripture, those who want to keep the Sabbath should reread it and re-consider their stand.
Jesus is LORD, and also LORD of the Sabbath!

Where Is God?

In Paradise God talked to Adam and Eve and lived with them there, but after the fall He kicked them out of Paradise and did not talk much anymore, only to some elected people. The humans were so evil that He sent a flood and saved only a few. He spoke through His prophets later.

2000 years ago God came down to earth. He lived here as a man, but was given birth by a virgin. He spoke to many people on earth while He was here. After He was crucified and resurrected, He went back to Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father, and that is where He is now. He left His Holy Spirit on earth for His people, though, and He talks to them, and lives through them. Generally God is omniscient and omnipresent. He is always there, but we cannot see Him, and He does not speak to everybody, especially if He is not welcome. If you invite Him to live with you, you might experience a miracle. He promised...

And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. (Luke 11:9-10 KJV)
Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:6-7 KJV)
And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD (Jeremiah 29:13-14 KJV)

The God of Israel and Jesus Christ are One!

God said to Moses, "I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob."(Acts 7:32 KJV)

And a little further in the same chapter Stephen, one of the first Christians said: "And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. (Acts 7:56-60 KJV)

The people obviously took it very serious, so serious that they stoned a person, because they could not stand the truth. But God's Word reaches everybody if He wants it. Just imagine that this young man Saul later became Paul, the Apostle, after being called by Jesus. Paul, a very fanatic Christian persecutor who had killed a great number of Christians, described his first meeting with Jesus on the road to Damascus by the following words:

"And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities. Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests, At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
And I said, Who art thou, Lord?
And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
(Acts 26:11-18 KJV)

And blinded all Paul was longing for was to do God's will and please Him from that time on.

It is good if you are not gullible. If you want to study Christianity, however, you have to become a Christian and have a look from there, or you can forget about it. I was an unbeliever for 45 years in my life, and I loved the evolution theory and everything that goes along with it. But then I gave it up - for something better, and the only thing that is true: God's Word. I have been a Christian for ten years now, and there is no longing to change that, because someone greater convinced me. But I can understand you and your position. as an unbeliever. It is what people have to believe. All I can do is witness for something that people cannot imagine. I could not, but one day I gave up my resistance and gave it a try, and God a chance. I have read that he comes running with open arms if people signal that. I remember be on my knees, asking Him to be a part of my life. I wanted to live with Him. It still lasted a few years more until I got over myself and accepted Him as the Master of my life.

Noah trusted God enough to build an arch of the size known over so many years, and warn the people of the flood. He was mocked, really. Nobody believed him. And when the flood came, it was too late for that. Lord, give me the faith of Noah, and me build an arch.

Humans Cannot Know the Truth Unless...

No human has the truth - but God. Only He can tell us what the truth is, and whenever that happens, there might be someone who started his life with God into eternity.

So do not believe people but wait until God speaks into your heart. And if this happens to you, do not shut the door but open it widely, so He can enter.

God Does Not Exist, Does He?

Atheists say God does not exist, and they are so right: God does not exist - for THEM.
God is simply not there and has no longing to come into their life. How comes? Would He be welcomed by them?

There are many gods, but they are all false, which does not mean they do not exist. They do exist, but there is just ONE who would be worthy to be worshipped, only ONE God who is our Creator, only ONE God who forgave us our sins, only One God who is good through and through, love pure. Oh, how much I would like it if you met Him one day.

Who Is Right?

Jesus Christ said, "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:15-16 KJV)

The Apostle Paul said, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV)

A cultist says you must keep the Sabbath and keep the Commandments to be saved.

A brother in Christ says you must be polite and not insult hereticks, or you are no born-again believer.

But whom can we believe now?
One might draw this conclusion that Christianity is very confusing and it is better  stay away... but wait! Is that not what the devil wants? He sows confusion, so nobody can see the truth anymore!

Jesus was right, and Paul was. The cultist in his world, as much as our dear brother is in his. But what is valid for me? I think only one version can be the truth. The truth for me is what God says. Jesus told me what to do, namely to believe in Him, and the Apostle Paul explained that we are saved by grace through faith in Him. I have to reject anything else, because it id not what God says.

I am saved through faith in Jesus Christ by God's grace. The wish to keep the Commandments is a result from this, but not the way how to be saved.

I for one want to keep the Commandments, because I love God and want to please Him. This is based on a free will, not on a "must" as a lot of cultists claim. If you read the Bible, you will find that out, too, if you do not stick to a few verses but read it as a whole. It is a long love letter that addresses every human separately, and if you allow this to happen, it is God speaking to you and into your heart. Just be still and listen when you read the Bible, so you can hear His Word. It might be rather small in the beginning, but it can become stronger in you. It is usually up to you if you dare walking a different path with the best and greatest friend you could ever have: Jesus Christ.

What Jesus said about False Teachers

Matthew 23:13-33 KJV

(13) But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
(14) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
(15) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
(16) Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
(17) Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?
(18) And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.
(19) Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
(20) Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.
(21) And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
(22) And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
(23) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
(24) Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
(25) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
(26) Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
(27) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
(28) Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
(29) Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
(30) And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
(31) Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
(32) Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
(33) Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
The scribes and Pharisees were not simply "anyone", but highly respected persons, but Jesus called a spade a spade. I wonder why? Did He hate them? Or did He just love the innocent sinners much more than those who stood against God's plans and will?
I have observed the following... the moment when the Christians retreat themselves from a public place, cultists come and flood the people groups with their trash. I am just glad we have the Bible that warns of such deceivers already, so we do know what to do with them. I would ignore them if I met them on a neutral ground. But we are here in the internet, and the Readers have a right to find the truth about the Christian faith here. It is a public room here, where people think to find experts. But are all who call themselves Christians experts? No, because they are often twisting God's Word into a joke! Nobody could ever be saved if they believed them! Their supporters are supporters in their evil deeds. And that is what they are. If they had a longing for God's truth, they would have read the Bible in detail, b ut they do not care and insist on a few verses again and again. It is impossible to ignore God's grace, or still call Jesus a god but not the God (one person of three) if they had read and heard God's Word. They have no excuse. All they would have to do is read, and not just cherry pick what they like.
My hope is that no Reader will ever believe the trash of those deceivers who just want to serve their own belly one way or other. And in case some might, their blood is not on my hands, because I have been doing my best to warn the people of them.
Faith brings good works. My "good work" here is to warn Readers of cultists. It would not be so exhausting if not the own people were so contra-productive. They do not have to do what we are doing, but they should at least not get into our ways. It would be great if they spread the gospel otherwise meanwhile, but not consume our energy and their own on something they cannot Scripturally hold, but what might be taught at many churches - be kind and smile all the way, and never stand up - how practical for all those who are just up to take an advantage. I admit, it might be a problem for those who already grew up at a church where this was preached. I was one of those who was a church member from age 0-45 (that is for those who say they have been a life-long Christian - I was one of those, too), and *then* I converted (I wonder if that has ever taken place with some of them). Since then I have asked for God's will and God's Word, and that is all that counts. No tradition or wise talking could change that. God speaks my language (whatever this is), and I can understand Him well. No need for the false Christian teachers to tell me - no, thanks!
There is another effect they have on our witness... Since they claim Christians would have to keep the Commandments, to give an example, they give the impression that we would not accept God's Commandments. But we know they are holy, and will always be valid, because they come from God. The moment we oppose the cultists, however, we give the impression as if we disrespected the Commandments, which is not the case at all, because God's people HATE sin, and we know that only God Himself can get it out of us - now, and finally when He comes back. It is only THEN that we will be sinless, and not as some cultists might claim. How arrogant can a person be and claim to be without sin? That is DEFINITELY NOT what Jesus preached.
The Readers should know that they need a Savior to get eternal life! Nobody will ever be justified for his own efforts.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

*+*+* For my Friends, Brothers and Sister in Christ *+*+*

Hi my dear Friends, Brothers and Sisters,
Reading and posting in the English Christian newsgroups for several years now, I found something important out. Some Christians seem to put a big emphasis on formal things like politeness, kindness and the like rather than if people bring the truth. Of course, that is what our parents taught us, and what we learned at school. We usually do not run around and insult people, and especially Christians would not. But there is something to consider...
In my opinion this is just another subtle method by the devil to spread confusion among the believers who judge others on their use of words but forget how Jesus Christ dealt with those people who taught His people
lies.
It is a fact that those who come here or elsewhere come in a nice "dress" to be accepted. Those with Spiritual discernment then do what they need to do: DISCERN. There are several Christians who I know and who have this gift. Whenever they find a "wolf in sheep clothes" they mark them publicly, so others are warned. The style how the hereticks are treated is basically not kind and polite anymore, but this is necessary, so others do not get the impression that the Christians would support them by responding to them. People should know that there are different words one can use to rebuke the devil if he comes and tries to see which of the Christians to devor. Jesus did the same when he used terms that might be helpful to give a Spiritual discernment are, for example:

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them. - Luke 11:44 KJV

Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! (17) Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? - Matthew 23:16-17 KJV

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. - Matthew 23:27 KJV

Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? - Matthew 23:33 KJV

Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?- Luke 3:7 KJV

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of
his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. - John 8:44 KJV

Jesus called people "graves", "hypocrites", "whited sepulchers", "serpents", "generation of vipers", "liars", "devil's sons" ... and as everybody knows, He also even called his follower Peter "Satan" when Satan spoke through him. Not that Jesus was not aware that Peter was not Satan, or that He condemned Peter, someone He dearly loved, by that - no, He addressed the spirit that wanted to stop Him from fulfilling the Father's plan to sacrifice Him for the sake of mankind and was speaking through Peter.

So obviously, Jesus called some people names - not so often his followers but those whom He knew as false teachers of the time, the Pharisees and Scribes, for example. It was not what they taught, but what they had made from it, namely use it for their own purposes, not acting after the Father's will but with hearts like stone.
The problem is now, however, that whenever a false Christian teacher turns up and preaches his lies in Angel's tongues, the Spiritually gifted Christians with discernment start to oppose him or her, so all the rest of the Christians who might not have this gift so much come and see something evil in the Christian brother or sister, and start to "correct" him or her. Before this (especially in public), however, they should be 99 per cent sure about whom they are defending. I have seen it hundreds of times that they came to help the heretick instead of their own family members. This is really very contra-productive, and being a Christian is not about giving the heretical teachers a good feeling, but rebuke them sharply.
How else could it be made clear who is who in a Christian newsgroup, a public place where people come to find a direction for their lives? Are we Christians here to make a good impression and fellowship with devil's offsprings, or are we here to offer the truth, even if it means to hurt the liars? Jesus did so. If people belong to the devil or if the devil speaks through them, or if people are Spiritual whores who help the false Christian teachers spread their evil lies?
However, we should not confuse false teachers or prophets, those who call themselves Christians but bring nothing but Spiritual lies, with sinners. Jesus died with the sinners, and we should try to win brothers or sisters back if they have fallen into sin. Remember what Jesus said:

And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. - Luke 5:31-32 KJV

But there is a big difference between sinners and a false teacher. False teachers should be answered sharply.
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. - 2 Timothy 4:1-5 KJV
And please never forget that we do not mean the people, but always the spirit that is guiding them:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. - Ephesians 6:12-13 KJV

Whenever we address the darkness, calling a spade a spade is no bad way to go. This should not be based on personal likings, though, but on the Word of God and His discernment of the spirits. No Christian would ever refer to Jesus "graves", "hypocrites", "whited sepulchres", "serpents", "generation of vipers", "liars", "devil's sons" as "bad fruits", right?

Thanks for your attention. I love you all! God Bless you!

There is Peace in God

It is so good to know we have the Almighty on our sides, and there is no need for us to hasten into some relaxation exercises to find out about God's peace. He will give us peace if He wants to give us peace, and all we have to do is ask for it, or not even that. We are told that God knows what we need and want to ask before we even think of it, and if we cannot even do that, because we are too upset or the like, the Holy Spirit will speak for us and pass the message on.

I really do not like the idea of Christians who think they have to go with the times and adopt Buddha into Christianity and do all sorts of psychological exercises or meditations to experience some kind of thrill. It might be a dangerous game with our minds and souls, and the only real and long-lasting peace we can get is in Him. I just have to look at Him.

God Bless You.

Jesus is God! We are Saved by Grace

My God is One God in three equally divine Persons known as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

One of these co-equally divine Persons, Jesus Christ, was the one

- who is God

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1)

- through whom everything was created
The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. (John 1:2-3)

- who was fully man and fully God

"The Word became flesh" (John 1:14)

"I and my Father are one". (John 10:30)

Thomas called Jesus "My Lord and my God" (John 20:28).

For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5)

- who died for my sins, so I am saved by grace through faith in Jesus
Christ.

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:15-18)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

*+*^+*^*+*^*+*^*+*^*+*^*+*^*+*^*+*^*+*^*+*^*+*

The Apostle Paul warned:

Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified
by the law; ye are fallen from grace. (Galatians 5:4)

For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. (Galatians 5:5-6)

That is not all about God, but I hope it helps.

Love for the Enemy

I have to say I admired the Muslims for their strong family bonds, something that the western world has lost. If it was for the Christians I have met, I would have run away as fast as I could! There are actually very few who I would call extraordinary. I have found a lot of hypocrites among those who "have something that others do not have". The ONLY thing that touched me was God's Word, and God Himself talking to me! This might happen through other Christians, but I sometimes have the feeling that being a "good person" is the thing people have in mind when thinking of Christians, while this is not so! Christians are SINNERS! And that is what is turning the unbeliever off, especially when the Christians claim to be perfect already.

I for one prefer to show up my short-comings to gain people, and to encourage them to open their hearts to God and His Word, and that they do not believe they have to become perfect like the Christian Mrs. XYZ looks like. Of course I do not want to sin, but I do. But God still loves me! And He does so because I belong to Him, and not for my being good, or my love for my enemy! He loves me for my trust in Him to make me perfect on my way, and finally when He comes back. Is there any Scriptural background that says that unbelievers will see something in us Christians that is extraordinary and become Christians afterwards? I am not sure, and if you found something like this, please let me know.

I know that they might find out we are Christians by the love we have for one another, though, but not necessarily by the love for our enemies. As far as I know, we are to bless our enemy, to pray for him and do good to him, but we are to reject God's enemy, and not even pray for him. I have met a number of Christians who exaggerated their love for God's enemy by sacrificing the Christian witness of their brothers and sisters in Christ instead of showing the unbelievers how much they loved them.

I do believe we should try to become perfect, of course, but I do not think that we should believe we could ever go there without Christ doing that in us! If we try it on our own, our Christian faith is not the deepest. We should trust in Him to perfect us - would you not agree?

I think it was Luther who once said something like that: "Fist I was running after sin, and then sin was running after me." Becoming a Christian is NOT the big and unpleasant job to refuse everything we liked as unbelievers. It is exactly this idea that keeps a lot of people away from becoming a Christian, because they think we are not "allowed" to do so many (what they believe are) good things. They see the prohibitions in our actions, while we simply do not WANT to sin anymore, since God changed our hearts! If the unbelievers could see THAT, they might give it a try and open their hearts it be filled up with God's love, too. It is NEVER our *love* - it is always God's love that runs through us Christians, and such a love never runs out and can be shared in abundance. I guess that is what people mean when they claim unbelievers have to "see Christ in us".

That is just a wonderful miracle!

God is so good! His name be praised forever and ever!

Just have a look at this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQsVlFfqxWE

I do not believe in accidents... I found there are none. All goes according to God's plan. Some are protected by His angels, while others are called to die. Why? Who could say but only God alone.

My niece died on the highway 20 years ago under weird circumstances. She had heard a noise at her car, stopped and called the police for help form an emergency phone at the side of the road. She went back to her car, and then another car driver came, fell asleep right there and crashed her car into my niece who died shortly afterwards from a heart shock. I was no believer at that time, but I was very angry with God and how He could allow such things to happen. Again and again I accused Him and wanted to know why He had taken her, but left me there? The same year I got my answer. I was pregnant, and that was why He had not taken me. He made me a follower later, and that was another reason why. My sister, the girl's mother, is no believer, so she cannot forgive God taking her child away, and there is nothing I could say to comfort her. All I can do is trust God enough to know that He always does the right things, and I guess I will be surprised to hear His answer about it - later.

I believe we will then see all the miracles that He has done in our lives, in our neighborhood, in our town or country. There is nothing that would escape His eyes, although He often shuts them when He sees all the hate from the creatures He made. I

f we humans would all be more aware of that, we would probably do more good things and praise God for all He gives us every day and every day. If we humans all knew that life will continue after we pass away here on earth, for life is of a substance that cannot be destroyed ever, all those things we now feel are so important would lose their meaning, and we could be free from the evil and live for a better world - which will come. We can rely on the Lord with that, for He said so.

"And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely." - Revelation 21:3-6 KJV
