Invasion from the South Pole

Ummm... I think if the poles melt, and we have all the snow and ice here, we should get used to this sight... These two pinguins were seen a few metres away from the house where I live in the shopping street ... probably mother and child... ;-) I am not sure if they found shelter in a pension nearby or if they built an igloo.

Paul Preached the Cross, not the Wisdom of the World

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; (24) But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
1Co 1:17-24 KJV
Only God's Spirit can teach the people the right things. Many people will never understand.

Jesus said we are to become like little children, or we will never see the kingdom of God.
And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. (Luk 18:15-17 KJV)
I have often wondered about that. The world seems to try to find God in sophisticated books. But it is so simple! It is my longing to be with God, to live with God, to be close to God, to have the desire to love God, and even more, the desire to be loved by God. God and I - that is a relationship.
That is a love story - a very long one that can be read in a big book called Bible. God sent me a long love letter. That is why I praise Him! He loves me!

My grandmother used to tell me fairy tales when I was a kid, and when I was in bed. I remember Little Red Riding Hood, or Snow-White, etc. I believed those stories, and had no problem to see the characters all alive in my fantasy...

God is not fantasy. He is real. But my faith in Him is of the same kind as it was when I believed in fairy tales as a kid. God is real, because I can see Him act in my life everywhere. It is good to know that He is the master of my life when I am helpless. I rely and depend on Him like a child, and I am aware of it.

What is best: I can call God Abba, Father! Could there be a better father than God?

God Bless You,

Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled"
Joyful, all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With the angelic host proclaim:
"Christ is born in Bethlehem"
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

Christ by highest heav'n adored
Christ the everlasting Lord!
Late in time behold Him come
Offspring of a Virgin's womb
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see
Hail the incarnate Deity
Pleased as man with man to dwell
Jesus, our Emmanuel
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

Hail the heav'n-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Son of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings
Ris'n with healing in His wings
Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

The song was created by Felix Mendelssohn, Charles Wesley, and William Cummings, 1739-1855. Long ago... Thank you for the music! And here it is sung by me. :-)

I wish a MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of my friends, brothers and sisters in Christ - and to anyone who wants to hear it!

Why not START and make a difference at your local church?

Start hugging others.
Start smiling at others.
Talk about GOD and how great He is.
Say what He has done in your life.
Be a missionary.
Wear clothes that do not show how expensive they were.
Go to church on foot.
Give money to the poor.
Greet the people.
Invite people.
Be blinded to the treasure of this world, and numb to the greed of the flesh.
Be rich to the wisdom of GOD.
Tell them about the two commandments Jesus gave us.

Start with yourself - not with the others.

If everybody just did all that, the churches would be almost perfect.

I think we should all see our own job in being a missionary at our local churches. Before we start spreading leaflets to the lost, we should start there, first. We should print the list out and pass it on to our fellow brothers and sisters at church. There is a NEED to see that we are all ONE FAMILY, brothers and sisters! If we do not teach them, they will all be lost, did you know that?

Lip confessions as done by so many in the congregations will not save anyone. Baptism without a U-turn of the heart will not save anyone. Only Jesus can save people. But Jesus warned! He might reject many.

Mat 25:31-46 KJV  When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:  (32)  And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:  (33)  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.  (34)  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:  (35)  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:  (36)  Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.  (37)  Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?  (38)  When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?  (39)  Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?  (40)  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.  (41)  Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:  (42)  For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:  (43)  I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.  (44)  Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?  (45)  Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.  (46)  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

If we all START to make a DIFFERENCE to what is wrong at our churches, and if we pray to the Father in Jesus name to help us, we can achieve very much! BE and example for others, and I believe a lot of others will join you by and by.

I have found out that humble people are usually those who are suppressed... But please have more courage when it comes to the truth of what God says.

God Bless You!

I recommend that all the born again believers should plant churches or take many people to their church, so by and by the churches can be filled up with born again believers. I am not speaking of the theologians who just want to write masses of their own stuff and make themselves a name. I am speakng of the common people who were blessed with the Holy Spirit of GOD. HE has a fable for the common people and the sinners! For the poor, or those in prison, and for the sick! Most churches have lost this out of sight.

If you are a born again believer and have the chance to invite others: DO IT! Build the kingdom of GOD up! At least this is what the Spirit is telling me. You have the knowledge, you have the charisma to do that - so help for a revival! Let others learn from you. Where shall all the people who belong to the LORD go when the churches are closed, because people lost interest?

I have found out in my church that the people are often rather helpless and do not really know what our faith is about. I came to Christ later in my life, at the age of 45. I was not raised a Christian, and I was blessed to meet a born again Christian to teach me and to pray for me. I also was blessed to meet a number of other born again believers. I have also met a number of people who are completely clueless. I was divorced, for example, since long before I became a believer. Some think they have to treat me as a second class Christian for that and hold it against me. It only shows me that they have not understood what grace is about, and forgiveness, and reconciliation with God.

I am not a friend of theologians, either, and usually do not get along with them at all. Of course GOD is the author of the Bible. I am glad there is the Bible, because otherwise many people could abuse the trust of others even more, just by claiming to be a voice of the Holy Spirit. No man on earth is perfect. The chance to worship the person more than the Creator is given, and the Bible is a good way to filter out who the black sheep - or better: the wolves in sheep clothes are.

Generally I do not believe it is a matter of having a DR. in from to one's name, having money, being from a high social class etc. I think it is just important to be born again, and not all who call themselves Christians are. They need the Holy Spirit for that. If they are born again, they will happily do their jobs for the LORD! :-)

God Bless You!

I do not think we should flee the churches. I think we should help the Holy Spirit build them up. There are so many people seeking this guidance. But they often believe you have to study theology to understand the Gospel, and so they put all their trust in those whom they believe are educated - instead of putting it all into Jesus Christ!
I think it is high time that the churches come back to the old Gospel instead of trying out new things to keep the people amused.
I am all for the Holy Spirit as the teacher for us all. But we should not ever forget that this Holy Teacher would never contradict what He said... never speak against the Word of God. In fact, the Bible is the Word of God, and the Spirit reveals it. That is why there cannot be major differences of doctrine.

Love is patient, right? If so, I want to be like that. God can separate the wheat from the chaff in the churches later, in due time.

The things Paul and Peter and others did when they planted the first churches were not in vain. I know that there are a lot of things wrong at our churches. Most of them have come down to a kind of organisation for people who want to join a fellowship of people of the middle or upper social class. But I have a better solution: Spam them with "real" Christians! Let the rest become the minority. That is my idea to solve this... I still have no clue of how to do that, though.

LORD JESUS CHRIST, let there be a REVIVAL OF THE CHURCHES! HELP US! (Probably like this?)

In addition I believe we are approaching the end times, and God said there will be a falling back of the churches - so this would be an expected event. Even the anti-Christ is to come from within the Church. But I also know that there are many golden hearts at my church, and I have never had a reason to reject my pastor's doctrine. He is preaching what I can see, too. I am not sure about the others, though. We are all individuals mixed together, and only the LORD can restore the unity - BUT HE CAN. Or does He say to leave the churches rather than help build up the kingdom of GOD?

You see, I very much dislike giving up. I am just like that. I had to give up, though, and let GOD do things for me. He did! I would never have believed it... Nobody could help, but He did so. The churches do not belong to their leaders. They belong to Jesus Christ! HE can restore them. As much as He "saved "a wretch like me", he is able to save the congregations - if HE wants to. And if not? Well,...

Just my two cents. :-)

God Bless You!

Fred A. Stover - DIED: November 11, 2010

Fred was much more than a Christian brother to me. He was my friend. In fact, I sometimes believe he was an angel. He helped me through my darkest times of my life, and I am very grateful to God that I was so much blessed to know him.

I am very sad that he is not here anymore, but I also know I will meet him in Heaven. He is missed very much by me. But I know that the absolutely best place he has ever desired was to be with Jesus, and that is where he is now. This comforts me much, and also that his suffering came to an end when the LORD took him home.

Never will I forget Fred. He left a deep impression in me, and I have learned a lot from him. He was a great encourager, and a brightly shining light for me. A part of that will always shine on in my life. He has a place in my heart forever.

"And I saw a new heaven and a new earth.
For the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.
And the sea no longer is.
And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her Husband.
And I heard a great voice out of Heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there will be no more death, nor mourning, nor crying out, nor will there be any more pain; for the first things passed away.
And He sitting on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new."
(Rev 21:1-5 MKJV)

I am looking forward to the day when I will meet him and the LORD in Heaven.
