I think it is such a pity that so many people are running after wolves in sheep clothes. I think the Emerging Church movement is good for anyone who was not born again - while Jesus definitely says we must be born again to belong to Him.
If people do not have faith in Jesus at all, why do they call it Christian? Christians do not have any faith in themselves and know how rotten  they are, and that they would deserve death, and that they would all perish - if there was not Jesus to save them! ONLY Jesus can save us all, or them.
I do not think many can come into the boat anymore, because I believe the times of the Gentiles is over, and Jesu will come back soon. That is why the seats at the churches are less and less taken. Now they are trying to compensate this with unbelieve and faith in their own goodness and strength!  Oh ... well... It will not work, and least not be enough for Heaven. They just prove the correctness of the Bible themselves and represent the big falling away from God of the churches as written in the Bible...
People who want to come aboard of Jesus' ship should hurry up!
God Bless You!

The Emerging Church originates from New Zealand, Australia and England

"There has been a strong bias in the US to ignore a history to the emerging church that preceded the US Emergent organization. This began with Mike Riddell and Mark Pierson in New Zealand from 1989, and with a number of practitioners in the UK including Jonny Baker, Ian Mobsby, Kevin, Ana and Brian Draper, and Sue Wallace amongst others, from around 1992."
"What is common to the identity of many of these emerging church projects that began in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, is that they developed with very little central planning on behalf of the established denominations. They occurred as the initiative of particular groups wanting to start new contextual church experiments, and are therefore very 'bottom up'".
The Emerging Church is more a movement than a building, it is a spirit, and I do not think it is the Holy Spirit at all.

They do not accept that the Bible is God's Word but prefer to choose what they please. They reject that Jesus will come back, and also a coming Judgment. They want to make their members some well-functioning social workers, since Jesus' sacrifice does not mean much to them. Some of them reject that Jesus was resurrected in the flesh. They do not believe in a Heaven but think they are good enough to establish Heaven on earth themselves. All in all it is blasphemous pure, but this spirit has infiltrated most evangelical churches already. They think they can fill up their churches by this again. The people at the churches cannot see it at once. They (the leaders) do not call themselves "Emerging Church". They are making use of any psychological means they can. They work like any other cult. They speak of social fairness more than of the grace of God. Sin, hell and the devil are also out. What they say sounds very Cristlike, but it is not, because they leave out a large part of the truth. They want to form alliances with other cultures and do idol worshipping, mystic meditations, New Age stuff and the like. They are in a way ultra-liberal communists - or they do not know themselves. They like to leave things in the fog.
They are sitting on high seats in the Baptists' leadership in Germany already, for example, and in many other places worldwide. They are using Facebook for that, or Twitter or the like - networks. Of course they do not really like born again Christians who claim that the only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ.
This movement is a great place for all who want to join a Christian church for fellowship only - but sermons will soon die out, and where can they hear the Gospel then?
Anyway, I regard it the anti-Christian movement of the end times ass the Bible describes it. They will "emerge" from our own rows. The CHURCH is falling back from God ass prophesied. There are turmoils, earthquakes and floods as in Luke 21. We are heading into a world religion and a world leadership as foreseen. (So God is in control, and there is no need for us to worry)
Let us please pray for the people at Christchurch, for there are still more than 200 people missed, and also that this movement will die out soon. I believe the LORD went to NZ personally... because the Church has left their first love, and He made true what He warned the church in Ephesus of:
"But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the teachings of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling-block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols and to commit fornication. So you also have those who hold the teaching of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. Repent! But if not I will come to you quickly, and will fight with them by the sword of My mouth. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give to him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knows except he who receives it." (Rev 2:14-17 MKJV)
If you want to know what they are about, google for Brian McLaren, N.T. Wright (Bishop of Durham), Marcus Borg, Michael Frost ...
I hope this helps.
God Bless You!

Strange... Now I know...
Again and again I have had one frightening dream. Look at this video, and you know what this dream has been about. It is so strange, because I do not often have nightmares, so I have often thought about it. In my dream I am at a hotel or house, and I am alone there. I can see the waves coming into my direction, and I know I have to warn the people who would all be drowned otherwise - and that is the nightmare. I cannot save the people. They do not listen, or they are too far away from me.
It is really strange, because the place at the shore looked *exactly* like in this video.
Sometimes people are sent dreams from God, and they make sense much later. I guess this is one of them. So let me ask you, all of you disciples of the LORD:
Luke 8:22-25 KJV
(22) Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.
(23) But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. (24) And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish.
Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
(25) And he said unto them,
Where is your faith?
And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

Come, Now is the Time to Worship

And the angel answered and said to the women, Do not fear, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. (6) He is not here, for He has risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. (7) And go quickly and tell His disciples that He has risen from the dead. And, behold, He goes before you into Galilee. There you shall see Him. Lo, I have told you. - Mat 28:5-7 MKJV

Luk 24:30-43 MKJV
(30)  And it happened as He reclined with them, taking the loaf, He blessed it, and breaking it, He gave to them.
(31)  And their eyes were opened, and they knew Him. And He became invisible to them.
(32)  And they said to one another, Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us by the way and while He opened the Scriptures to us?
(33)  And they rose up the same hour and returned to Jerusalem and found assembled the Eleven and those with them.
(34)  And they said, the Lord has indeed risen, and has appeared to Simon.
(35)  And in the way they related the things happening, and how He had been known by them in breaking of the loaf.
(36)  And as they spoke this, Jesus Himself stood in their midst, and said to them, Peace to you!
(37)  But they were terrified and filled with fear, for they thought they saw a spirit.
(38)  And He said to them, Why are you troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?
(39)  Behold My hands and My feet, that I am He! Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see Me have.
(40)  And when He had spoken this, He showed them His hands and feet.
(41)  And while they still did not believe for joy, and wondered, He said to them, Have you any food here?
(42)  And they handed to Him a piece of a broiled fish and of a honeycomb.
(43)  And He took it and ate before them.
