God gives us victory in many aspects... He changes our hearts so we can now refrain from sin more and more and more... on our way of sanctification. We can now be raised into life with our Savior, at the last trump. Death is defeated!

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
(1 Corinthians 15:52-58 KJV)

I appreciate my love letter...

Friends, I once received a very precious love letter from someone who died long ago. When I wanted to be close to this man, I took this love letter and read. Since this man loved me so much, he wrote many, many pages, so whenever I read his letter, he is alive again, and speaks to me. I had this letter on a table in my living room, and it was a great comfort for me, and the words in it still showed the love this man had for me.

One day a terrible thing happened. I came home and saw the devil's work on the table. You think my love letter was torn into pieces? No, it was much worse... There were tons of superficially identical love letters on the table. They all looked alike from the outside. Oh, what a pity! I could not make my letter out anymore! I took one of the letters, and read, and it seemed to be my letter - but on page 15 there was one sentence that was not from my love. I took another letter and read - the same. Something was wrong there on another page. I read and read and read, but could not find my letter anymore. Finally I did not really know what the truth was anymore. I mixed it all up... No matter how hard I tried to find the right one... I almost gave up...

But suddenly the sun shone into my room, the rays on the table, pointing to one of the letters... I started reading it and my heart got warm, and I knew this was my letter, and when I was reading it, everything fit again, and I could feel the love of my friend again.

Now tell me, what do you think did I do with all the fake letters? Of course I threw them into the garbage where they belong, because they just led me away from the truth and from the love of my friend...

The man who wrote the letter, He rose from the grave, by the way... long ago, long ago...

Ref: Reading the Bible

Dear Believers in Jesus Christ,
I have seen a number of you who interpreted the Bible like this:

You feel you have to be the master of the Bible. You have an idea, then start to read the Bible and see what it says about it, as if you were reading from cards to tell you something about the future or the past or present. But that is not the way the Bible should or could be read…

First of all, pray and humble yourself under the Word of God.
Pray that the Scriptures are opened to you.
Know that God loves you so much that He addresses you through His Word.
Then, read a passage of the Bible in its context.
Find out what the words and sentences say (clear unknown words, for example).
Meditate on the text (think about it) and try to listen to what God has to tell you about Himself, about you, your life, your state, your family, your friends, all the other people, humanity in general or this world through it - and not as before when you used your all this as the base for which you tried to get a background in the Bible.

If the Bible is from God, this is the ONLY way to read it. The Bible is from where you have to start, not the other way round, or you will have it all upside down.
